Juniors Already???

Can you believe it? Michael and Matthew are Juniors in college! Yes, I said that right, JUNIORS! I mean where has the time gone! I seriously feel like they were just 3 years old and I was babysitting them - meanwhile they were slinging mud at each other!

Don't you feel like they should still be like this?

Michael left with my dad on Friday to make the drive down to Florida. They made it safely and got him all settled into his house. He is living with 2 guys from the baseball team and seems to really like it so far! My dad took some pictures and Michael also gave me the low down. He has fresh lime trees in his backyard and palm trees line his street - how freakin silly is that! The campus is really nice and is right off of a lake. The student center has an outdoor pool for the students and it sits right across the street from the lake - must be nice! I am super excited for him and can't wait to visit soon!

We had one more night to hang out with Matthew. So we had crabs on Friday night and then had to say our goodbyes! As usual - it is so tough to see them go! But they will be home soon and I kept telling them that when I see them again - they will be UNCLES! Matthew had a rough time with flights on Saturday but somehow managed to get back to Oxford in one piece (thanks to some amazing help from the Grantham family). His shoulder rehab is coming along and he looks awesome! Classes started for him yesterday and he will be swinging the bat before we know it!

One Lucky Little Girl (and Mom too)!

Baby D and I had the most AMAZING baby shower this past weekend! I mean absolutely fabulous! To say that it was more than anything I could have ever expected would be an understatement! My four best friends threw the most fantastic baby shower I have ever been to and I felt beyond lucky for it to be mine! I don't even know where to begin! The whole day I was in lala land - I first couldn't believe that I was at a baby shower for my baby and then couldn't believe how beautiful everything was! It was a candyland theme and if you know me - I love candy and especially right now! There were so many personal touches and tiny details that I am still in shock! It truly was beautiful! The food was amazing, the drinks were yummy, and dessert was delicious! A good friend from Richmond made an absolutely stunning cake - just for me and Baby D! You should check her out at http://bsweetcakes.com/home.html! I will try and get a picture up here of it soon! And then on to the gifts - I am beyond humbled at the many wonderful things that were given to myself and Baby D! She is a very lucky and spoiled little girl already! We received so many wonderful things! I can't thank Val, Cheryl, Courtney and Ellen Anne enough for all of their planning, hard work and execution of the day! It means the world to me! I also am so appreciative to all the guests that could come and all the wonderful gifts! It was great to be able to visit with everyone and celebrate this baby girl! Thank you so much!

Here are a few pictures from the day! The first couple are the amazing ladies who hosted the shower. Cheryl - I don't have any pictures of the two of us - I am hoping that Ellen Anne got one on her camera! Not happy about that! At least we got you with your new "purse" - haha!

It was even more of a special day because I found out my good friend, Lauren, got engaged last week! I am SUPER excited for her and Chip! She is an amazing girl and I am so happy she has found someone that makes her so happy! Congratulations Lauren!

It was just a great weekend overall! I got to spend lots of time with all my best friends. Cheryl was here for 3 days from NY, Courtney (and Kona) came down for the night and Kevin and Ellen Anne came to hang out after the shower too! We had a fun time up at Glory Days! The highlight of the night was Photohunt. Greg insisted we get the number one score before we leave. As you can see it was an intense game! As a TEAM we beat it (including Cheryl who was taking this picture). Courtney and I were trying to come up with good names like Ritsmelsucks. Unfortunately, it took too much time and Greg didn't get anything entered. Therefore it reads - PLAYER 1 as top score...who will believe us?!?!

Heinous Hernias

That is right - heinous hernias! Poor Greg had to have surgery last Thursday for a hernia. I mean the guy just can't catch a break! He has had 3 surgeries in the past 3 years - not to mention his ankle surgery and pulmonary embolism in college! This has to be it for a long time! He had been in some pain for a while and finally went to have it checked out. It was definitely a hernia. They were able to schedule him for surgery quickly and he is on the road to recovery! It is day by day but he is getting better!
