Need to catch up...

Yikes - has it really been since September 7th since I last posted anything? Sorry - I know you guys are just DYING to get updates from me! Hahaha! I feel like I do have a lot to catch up on though! This might be a long post with lots of pictures! :)

37 Weeks and 1 day: I am officially FULL TERM! Can you believe it? I can't. I must say that it feels pretty darn good to be able to say that though. And to know she is still moving around like crazy and from what we know is still very healthy! I feel beyond fortunate for this little peanut (she may not be so little though - since I am ravenous and feel like I have put on 50 lbs in the past 2 weeks)! As of now, she is breech. Very comfortable and doesn't feel like going anywhere. We have a scheduled c-section for October 7th! We will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary (October 6th) with a beautiful little girl coming into our family! We will see what happens - she may have a plan of her own and decide to come early or flip last minute and everything will change!

New Camera: Yup - I got (or should I say WE got) a new camera! It is supposed to be a joint birthday/anniversary gift for Greg and I both! But I don't know if he loves it as much as I do! I am slowly becoming obsessed with it. It is amazing and he did such a great job picking it out! Thanks honey - you are the best (even though I don't think you read this blog - ha)! I haven't had much time to sit down and read the manual and figure it all out - but so far I LOVE it. It has an auto setting which is nice so that I can go ahead and start taking pictures without being an expert. It is a Nikon and just the clarity on the auto setting is amazing! I can't wait to learn more about how to use it and all its features. Camden and Baby D might not appreciate it so much - but too bad! Camden already had a mini photo shoot - I think he is used to it now though! Here are a couple:

Baby D's Room: We got her furniture yesterday! OMG - I just love it! Poor thing has a VERY SMALL room - but at least she has beautiful furniture! Good thing babies don't need a lot of space - not so good that all their stuff does! I realized yesterday that it isn't our house anymore, it is all for her! Every nook and cranny of our small little house is full of her stuff! Not complaining though, I love it all! :) My mom and Greg helped so much yesterday and we got it all set up. I have lots more organizing to do and decorating in the bedroom but we are off to a great start! Thank you Mom and Dad - we absolutely love the furniture and know she will too (thank you for all the help yesterday too)! We really appreciate everything!

Some pics:

The Boys: Brandon is still with the Orioles and making his way around the country. He had his first start in Detroit and his first home start against Toronto! So exciting to see him on tv and playing in Camden Yards. He is doing a great job and we hope to see him on the field some more before the season ends! Michael is doing well down in FL. He is packing on some pounds, trying to get as strong as me! ha! But is running lots and his back is feeling good. Matthew is loving Mississippi still and made a trip to New Orleans recently for an Ole Miss foot ball game. Can't wait to hear those stories! He should be able to start hitting in a week! We also can't forget the little boys in the family that are excelling in sports! Jack and Wyatt's football season has started. Jack is playing for the Grizzly's again this year and is kicking some butt! He had his first official game last weekend. We can't wait to get out there and watch him play! Wyatt is playing flag football and is just the cutest thing out there! It is a pretty funny age to watch playing, that is for sure!

90th Birthdays: Two very special and amazing ladies in my life celebrated their 90th birthdays this month. My Grammy Snyder and Greg's Granny both turned 90. Long story - but after Greg and I got together, the obviously met. They discovered that they were born 4 days apart (my Grammy always making sure we know she is 4 days older) and very close to each other in the state of NJ! They have since become wonderful friends and they have a very special relationship! Cheers to 90 ladies!

Tex: Last but definitely not least is Tex! My new nephew that will be here on October 4th. Yup - he will be joining the family a couple days before Baby D! So exciting! Tex is Brandon and Lindsey's absolutely adorable four legged, furry little boy! There are no words to describe the cuteness factor that he comes with! We can't wait to meet him!

Okay - that is it! I warned you that it was a long one! You can wake up and get back to whatever you were doing before reading this novel! :)

Hello Baltimore!

So I received a very, very important phone call on the morning of August 31, 2010. My little brother, Brandon, called me and I thought it was just to catch up! Well that phone call ended with me in tears and beyond proud! Brandon received his first official call up to the Baltimore Orioles - he is now a Major League baseball player! Wow, just wow! Just crazy, right? I am still in shock - I knew this day would come eventually after all his hard work and dedication. I just wasn't expecting it that day, that call! I am so incredibly proud of him, happy for him, etc. A bunch of family and close friends went out to his first official game on September 1, 2010. Over the course of the weekend we all tried to get to as many games as we could! My mom, dad and Lindsey trekked it to every single game! We had family from Charlotte come up too! He hasn't officially played in a game yet, but his time is coming! He is just loving soaking it all in and learning as much as possible! As of now, he is #58 (29x2)!

Brandon - Congratulations! Words can't describe how proud I am of you! I know you have worked very hard and had some ups and downs over the past couple of years! But you never gave up and kept on pushing forward! Never doubt yourself - you really ARE that good! :) I love you very much! Now - can I just live vicariously through you?

34 weeks - a week late!

Well I have been slacking in the blog department the past week or so! Things have just been straight crazy lately! So much exciting stuff going on for the Dempsey/Snyder households! But I will go ahead and throw in a picture from 34 weeks - which was on September 1. I will actually be 35 weeks tomorrow! We found out that as of now she is breech - stubborn little thing! She still has time to turn but we will see what she decides to do! We worked on her bedroom and also got new carpet in the house! I am in love with her room - even though it really doesn't have anything in it! I can't wait until we get the furniture and can put everything all together! We still have lots to do - and a little bit more painting but this will give you an idea!
Here are some pics from 34 weeks (Camden wanted to join the photo shoot too). And there are also some pics from before (actually when they just started working on her room) and after of the start of her room! In case you don't know - her bedding is from Restoration Hardware and it is grey, pink and white! I will keep updating the blog with pics as we get things finished! I hung her curtains but didn't take any of those pictures yet!

Juniors Already???

Can you believe it? Michael and Matthew are Juniors in college! Yes, I said that right, JUNIORS! I mean where has the time gone! I seriously feel like they were just 3 years old and I was babysitting them - meanwhile they were slinging mud at each other!

Don't you feel like they should still be like this?

Michael left with my dad on Friday to make the drive down to Florida. They made it safely and got him all settled into his house. He is living with 2 guys from the baseball team and seems to really like it so far! My dad took some pictures and Michael also gave me the low down. He has fresh lime trees in his backyard and palm trees line his street - how freakin silly is that! The campus is really nice and is right off of a lake. The student center has an outdoor pool for the students and it sits right across the street from the lake - must be nice! I am super excited for him and can't wait to visit soon!

We had one more night to hang out with Matthew. So we had crabs on Friday night and then had to say our goodbyes! As usual - it is so tough to see them go! But they will be home soon and I kept telling them that when I see them again - they will be UNCLES! Matthew had a rough time with flights on Saturday but somehow managed to get back to Oxford in one piece (thanks to some amazing help from the Grantham family). His shoulder rehab is coming along and he looks awesome! Classes started for him yesterday and he will be swinging the bat before we know it!

One Lucky Little Girl (and Mom too)!

Baby D and I had the most AMAZING baby shower this past weekend! I mean absolutely fabulous! To say that it was more than anything I could have ever expected would be an understatement! My four best friends threw the most fantastic baby shower I have ever been to and I felt beyond lucky for it to be mine! I don't even know where to begin! The whole day I was in lala land - I first couldn't believe that I was at a baby shower for my baby and then couldn't believe how beautiful everything was! It was a candyland theme and if you know me - I love candy and especially right now! There were so many personal touches and tiny details that I am still in shock! It truly was beautiful! The food was amazing, the drinks were yummy, and dessert was delicious! A good friend from Richmond made an absolutely stunning cake - just for me and Baby D! You should check her out at http://bsweetcakes.com/home.html! I will try and get a picture up here of it soon! And then on to the gifts - I am beyond humbled at the many wonderful things that were given to myself and Baby D! She is a very lucky and spoiled little girl already! We received so many wonderful things! I can't thank Val, Cheryl, Courtney and Ellen Anne enough for all of their planning, hard work and execution of the day! It means the world to me! I also am so appreciative to all the guests that could come and all the wonderful gifts! It was great to be able to visit with everyone and celebrate this baby girl! Thank you so much!

Here are a few pictures from the day! The first couple are the amazing ladies who hosted the shower. Cheryl - I don't have any pictures of the two of us - I am hoping that Ellen Anne got one on her camera! Not happy about that! At least we got you with your new "purse" - haha!

It was even more of a special day because I found out my good friend, Lauren, got engaged last week! I am SUPER excited for her and Chip! She is an amazing girl and I am so happy she has found someone that makes her so happy! Congratulations Lauren!

It was just a great weekend overall! I got to spend lots of time with all my best friends. Cheryl was here for 3 days from NY, Courtney (and Kona) came down for the night and Kevin and Ellen Anne came to hang out after the shower too! We had a fun time up at Glory Days! The highlight of the night was Photohunt. Greg insisted we get the number one score before we leave. As you can see it was an intense game! As a TEAM we beat it (including Cheryl who was taking this picture). Courtney and I were trying to come up with good names like Ritsmelsucks. Unfortunately, it took too much time and Greg didn't get anything entered. Therefore it reads - PLAYER 1 as top score...who will believe us?!?!

Heinous Hernias

That is right - heinous hernias! Poor Greg had to have surgery last Thursday for a hernia. I mean the guy just can't catch a break! He has had 3 surgeries in the past 3 years - not to mention his ankle surgery and pulmonary embolism in college! This has to be it for a long time! He had been in some pain for a while and finally went to have it checked out. It was definitely a hernia. They were able to schedule him for surgery quickly and he is on the road to recovery! It is day by day but he is getting better!

I love my Uncles!

There is no denying that Camden LOVES his Uncles - I mean loves them! I have to be careful if I say their names when they are away at school or playing baseball. He will look at me and tilt his head - then look towards the front door thinking they are coming over! It is almost cruel - I usually wait until I know they are coming over and will tell him about 5 minutes before! I have had him whine and stare out the window until they get there! Just last night - I took the pictures of Camden and Michael. He literally laid on Michael for almost 2 hours! But there is no denying that they love their Camo too! I can't wait to see them with their little niece :)

Come on - just one lick Uncle Matt!

"Spring" Cleaning

As we start to get ready for Baby D to arrive - we are using up our weekends getting tons done around the house! Poor Greg has been such a trooper too - his "honey do" list seems to grow even when we check stuff off! But we are getting there and our box of a house will hopefully have some room for Baby D and all that comes with her!

This weekend we finished up cleaning/organizing our garage - major accomplishment! Then we tackled Greg's drawers and closets. Whoah that guy has some clothes! Camden decided he wanted to help out too. He was really good at snuggling in to all the clothes we dumped on the bed. Most labs would probably try to play or get up. Nope, not Camden! He was as happy as could be laying under all the clothes with his frog. Yup- he even fell dead asleep and was dreaming/running! Not normal but we still love him!

Grooveshark/Pandora

Thank you to Shannon over at ~*~Sweet Home Connecticut~*~ for this new music website! I love listening to music all day, every day! I am very familiar with Pandora and use it often. But this Grooveshark site is new to me! I have been using it for literally 3 minutes and love it already! As Shannon mentions, you can't download or burn anything - but you can play any song/artist and create play lists! And it is free!

Courtney - see if they have this one blocked at work!

A few things...

Well not really much to post about today! Just wanted to give something to my 4 wonderful followers - I would hate for them to not come back and read my blog (uh hmm...Jenny). :)

I was out of the office on Monday/Tuesday and spent the weekend down at Lake Anna. We had a great time with one of our good friends Jermaine from NY. Brandon, one of my little brothers, also came in to town on Sunday with his best friend and spent one night at the lake. We had a good time relaxing, fishing, eating, fire pits, smores, jet skis, wake boarding, boating, etc.

I had my glucose test, anemia, etc this week and so far no call from the doctor so that should mean all is good! Still going to wait a couple more days and see what they say! My mom and I also went and registered (have to do a lot of editing - I was a little crazy with the gun!) and ordered Baby Girl D's furniture. Very exciting stuff! I am now just over 27 weeks - so close to 7 months! Time is going by fast!

Couple updates on my brothers - you know I can't resist and always have to brag!

Congrats to Brandon and his girlfriend Lindsey! They just signed a contract for their first home together! I am so excited for them and can't wait to hang out at their new place this fall!

Congrats to my brother Michael - he officially signed with Florida Southern and will be heading down there this fall to play baseball! I am so proud and happy for him! We can't wait to visit him and hit up Disney World too! Go Mocs!

Matthew is down at Ole Miss and is continuing rehab for his shoulder! Hopefully he can come home one more time before classes start - we miss him! Go Rebs!

I will leave you with a pic of our fire pit down at the lake. Greg worked very hard on this last year and still has big plans for it! It is pretty "small" and the smores that come out of this thing are amazing!

Baby D & Bump

Thought I would share some pictures of Baby D if I am going to share some of Camden! Her pictures are way better than those of her mom! Baby D is much more cute! Here are a couple pics from my 20 week ultra sound - which I have already shared with most of you, if not all!

I can't believe I am actually going to put this on here - but I figured since the blog is new there won't be to many people to view it! Ha! But I am constantly getting requests to see "the bump" and figured I could give you few a quick peak! I would show all the weeks up until now - but I don't want your computer to crash! Scary pictures, let me tell ya! Don't mind the mustache in the one picture...

Here you go - these are from the past two weeks!

Here goes nothing...

Well I have finally decided to create a blog to entertain myself as well as anyone who wants to follow along! I have been keeping up with several blogs these days and thought I would give it a try too! I am hoping to keep family and friends updated with how the Dempsey's are doing! Let's just hope that I can keep up with it and have enough to even blog about!

Quick synopsis of the Dempsey clan - we are Greg, Sarah, Camden and Baby Girl D on the way! We are getting ready to celebrate 3 years of marriage in October. Camden is our amazing 4 1/2 year old lab - who we are totally obsessed with might I add. And Baby Girl D is set to make an appearance sometime around October 13, 2010!

Just to show how much we love him - here is a picture of Camden from the 4th of July weekend down at Lake Anna. He has been sick and this was pretty much how he was all weekend!

Let's see how this goes...
